- Every night Martha and Mickey tell their son a different tale of a mysterious and wonderful alien: the Doctor.
- At Martha’s degree ceremony there was a strange man nobody seemed to know. He smiled to her once and then she didn’t manage to find him again. He had a red bowtie.
- The Doctor always regrets having said “Rose would know” to Martha when they met Shakespeare, she didn’t deserve it.

She’s not one of my favorite companions but I couldn’t deny her bamfness in this scene.
She laughed right in the face of the Master, after a year walking the Earth, with her family enslaved, no certainty of success.
She saved the planet.
And she laughed at the Master, for Rassilon’s sake!
